ANOTHER SKETCH

Continuing from my last blog entry, I have been drawing more on the iPad trying to get my freehand style developed. I started this one last night with no end goal in mind, meaning I just started sketching and wanted to see what it would turn into. I felt like I have been trying too hard to get proportions, perspective, and anatomy correct in my drawings and somehow everything is coming out stiff. I will return to those studies because I want to get all those things right, but last night I decided to revert back to my old rough sketchy way of drawing and see where that would take me.

So I kind of like this one. It still feels a bit weak in some ways to me. It was fun to do, though. I feel like I will be incorporating some of this technique into my new drawing style. I think as i study and practice anatomy more these drawings will improve.
