I’ve had enough of making molds. I got a few more made over the past few days. I had to resculpt the scapula and make another mold of it. I won’t go into all the problems I’ve had but this morning I assembled the pieces that I have into a partial skeleton. The head is wrong and still in clay but I wanted to see what this guy is going to look like.
Seeing him closer to completion was pretty gratifying. I have begun researching 3D printing and am contemplating either having some prototype parts made or possibly investing in my own 3D printer. I will have to weigh the costs of each. I am building all the parts in 3D on my computer when I have time. There’s a website in Japan that has computer 3D models of all the human anatomy. I am using them to help get my designs more accurate. Too bad they don’t have a female, but I will still create my own.
I don’t feel like buying more silicone at the moment. I’m going to take a break from making molds for awhile.
