A DAY FOR COMICS

After 15 years of wanting a Cintiq, I finally got one. I couldn’t afford a new one so I bought a used one off eBay. For those who don’t know, it’s a computer monitor that you can draw on. But Cody, you already have the iPad for doing that. Yes, I do. And I have actually used it as a monitor that can interact with my pro drawing software on my computer. But now I have the Cintiq for all my pro digital work, and the iPad can be for all my design and conceptual work. I took the Cintiq for a spin over the last two days by creating a new comic page. I wrote a movie script quite a few years ago and thought hey – I’m not doing anything with it, why not make a graphic novel? Yeah that all seemed cool, and everything is coming out really nice, but I realize I’ve spent two long days on it and I’m still not finished….with just one page. Imagine trying to do 120 pages. Well we’ll see. Maybe I’ll get faster the more I get used to the new process.
