PLUGGING AWAY

I woke up and got right to work on the skirt. The challenge was to get the slow value change in the light areas from the bottom of the skirt (where it is darker) to the top (where it gets lighter). I struggled a bit deciding where the neutrals and warm tones should go, but I reasoned it wasn’t a big deal at this stage. I could spend more time making better decisions in the next stage.

I wasn’t feeling so hot this afternoon and I ended up falling asleep for awhile. I woke up groggy and fatigued. It could be allergies. I set to work on the corset for a couple hours.

Overall I feel everything is looking good. I think I need to add something like a chair or small table in the back on the right. I am also thinking there needs to be something reflecting in the mirror. I just don’t know what.

Dead coloring stage is taking longer than I thought, but there’s no time limit. At the rate I’m going, I’d say I have 4-5 more days left for this stage.
